Setup Video and InstructionsUpdated 20 days ago
For a quick visual guide, check out the “Setup” video, or follow the Setup instructions below:
1. Place the machine on a stable surface such as a countertop, at least 3 inches from any walls.
2. Plug it into a grounded outlet.
3. Press the Cumulus logo on the capsule holder to release it and check for the blank cleaning capsule. You will need to leave this capsule in place for the initial rinse. Push the capsule holder down to lock it back in place.
4. Remove the water tank by pulling the handle at the top.
5. Remove and discard the stickers and orange plugs from the back of the tank and the platform where the water tank sits and set the water tank aside.
6. Install the drip tray that shipped separately in the packaging.
7. Find a household container that holds at least 32 oz. and ensure it fits under the spout, with the drip tray in place. Set aside.
8. Retrieve the water tank and fill up to the fill line and reinsert into the Cumulus machine. The alert light pulses blue as the machine pumps water into the cooling chamber. Once the chamber is full, the alert light turns off and the light ring pulses blue indicating the machine is cooling water.
9. When the alert light turns off, remove the water tank and set aside.
10. Place your household container on the drip tray, underneath the spout. Rotate the beverage selector dial to Still, then press and hold the brew button until all three beverages indicator lights and the light ring turn white. This will take about 5 seconds.
- This pumps and dispenses water into your container about 3 or 4 times, effectively rinsing the machine before first use. It is normal for the water to look cloudy as it contains nitro bubbles.
- When this cycle is complete, the light ring turns off and the capsule holder unlocks.
11. Remove the blank cleaning capsule from the capsule holder, close capsule holder, and store the blank cleaning capsule for future use.
12. Empty your household container.
Your Cumulus Coffee Machine is now ready to brew!
